Event Work Position

Internship or Part-time
 
SCHEDULE: 5-10 hours a month, ability to work flexible hours
WAGES: $12-$15 based on experience
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
START DATE: Mar. 5, 2012 (negotiable)
 
Conservation Conversations works with utilities to market and promote conservation solutions to residential as well as small business customers. We are looking for a talented student to join our team!

Primary responsibilities:

• Event Worker will be responsible for the following:
• Costumer service
• Customer education and outreach
• Understanding client messaging and priorities
• Working with the public and delivering messages to clients
• Learning about protocol and client messaging
• Help with event set-up – will include physical labor, ability to lift 50 lbs., set-up of tables, displays, etc, ability to run lines during events, help with costumer services/visitor information
• Work Schedule will vary and/or coincide with events
• Requirements include but not limited to the following:
• Must be able to work with a variety of audiences
• Will be required to learn energy efficiency and conservation education
• Must be professional – prompt and on-time
• Must have proficient communication skills
• Must wear appropriate attire during events
• Outstanding work ethic
• Attention to detail and knowledge of energy efficiency industry is helpful

 
Qualifications:

• MUST Speak Spanish fluently
• Costumer service experience is a must
• Outstanding work ethic
• Flexible hours important
• Education, Communication or Marketing major preferred
• Soph, Jr, Sr, Grad or out of college
• Strong writing and verbal skills
• Energetic, self-starter, and goal oriented
• Attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint (preferred)
• Experience in event organization and work (preferred)
• Experience and knowledge of energy efficiency industry (preferred)
